Huai huang
Huai Huang is a queer identify Stage Manager and Technical Translator in Theatre who is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and English.
She was born and raised in Taipei and started her stage management career as a full-time stage manager at Takarazuka Revue, Japan. Mostly worked on new musicals, Japanese edited versions of Broadway musicals, Japanese traditional dance, Taiwanese Opera, and Peking Opera.
She has a passion for musicals, cross-culture, international and queer productions. She's always been fascinated by how different cultures approach theatre, including their working cultures, expectations, leadership styles, and communication styles.
She enjoys working with people, loves challenges, and believes in having fun at work. No matter how difficult the situation, she can always adapt quickly to new things, address the problem, and find humor in it.
She will be relocated to New York after graduating from the UCSD MFA program in stage management next March and are open to work.
